Press Operational Safety Training (POST)

WAGENER Vulcanizers Press Operational Safety Training (POST) is crucial to ensure the safety of operators and prevent accidents during belt splicing and repair activities on site. Training is offered on site or inhouse at our facility in Perth Western Australia. POST covers all aspects of vulcanizing use with a focus on safety, regular maintenance and operational efficiency. Trainees will receive an inhouse certification upon completion.

Vulcanizer overview.
WAGENER Vulcanizers Press Operational Safety Training (POST) covers an introduction to vulcanizing principles in line with PMBPROD265E Operate Portable Vulcanizing Equipment (PVE), a module from the Certificate III Polymer Processing (Belting) Conveyor Belt Maintenance and Repair. Other areas covered included do’s and don'ts, basic safety principles including OEM operational requirements and safety considerations. Upon completion the trainees will be issued with a certified certificate of attendance. This has the potential to be used as part of RPL for formal certification.

Safety Regulations and Standards.
WAGENER Vulcanizers POST covers all aspects of the relevant Australian Standards, how to relate to PVE and what they mean with regards to safety to personal and plant.

Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment.
WAGENER Vulcanizers POST provides basic training on how to identify the hazards associated with PVE systems, how to assess, evaluate and mitigate the risks to improve safety.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
WAGENER Vulcanizers POST provides a basic understanding and detailed guidance of the PPE required to safely operate PVE systems.

Vulcanizer Operation.
WAGENER Vulcanizers POST provides knowledge and confidence through hands-on training provided onsite or inhouse at our facility in Perth WA, creating a firm safety culture.

Emergency Procedures.
WAGENER Vulcanizers POST provides instruction and confidence on how to respond to and handle emergency situations in the event of vulcanizer pressure or temperature failure during a belt splice or repair, and the associated hold points.

Maintenance and Inspection.
WAGENER Vulcanizers POST provides a firm understanding of basic maintenance tasks in line with OEM requirements.  POST offers the trainee knowledge providing confidence enabling them to operate the Vulcanizing Press safely.

Troubleshooting.
WAGENER Vulcanizers POST provides the knowledge to understand operational requirements of the Vulcanizing Press and identify common problems they may occur during vulcanization operations, and how to troubleshoot them safely while avoiding compromising the splice procedure.

Assessment and Certification.
WAGENER Vulcanizers POST is implemented onsite or inhouse by our experienced industry trained certified staff who are certified trainers and assessors backed by industry recognised RTO’s and WAGENER Vulcanizers Gmbh & Co. KG in Germany. Training outcomes are produced through a process of delivering theory and practical training, assessed through observational evidence. Upon completion of training all trainees will be issued with a certificate of attendance, certifying them to safely and confidently operate, manage and basically maintain portable vulcanizing equipment.
